Born in Harlem, New York, my first thoughts of wanting to be an artist came early for me. So many different expressions of other cultures and beliefs and their wonderful displays of differences surrounded me in my Harlem community. I was often in  awe of the beauty of Harlem’s vast array of people from every part of our world.
